Strong officer turnout. TSA officers showed up, spoke up, and made their voices heard. November 17, 2025 Congresswoman Jen Kiggans at ORF Norfolk International Airport At 49 days without pay, officers met directly with Congresswoman Kiggans to share their experiences on backpay processing, bonus eligibility, and the impact on their families. November 10, 2025 Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan at RIC Richmond International Airport McClellan met with TSA officers at Richmond International Airport during the government shutdown to hear directly from the workforce about the impact of working without pay. November 6, 2025 Representative Rob Wittman at RIC Richmond International Airport Representative Wittman met with TSA officers at the Booty Armstrong Boardroom at Richmond International Airport to hear directly about the challenges officers were facing during the shutdown. November 3, 2025 Representative Bobby Scott at PHF Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport Following his visit to Norfolk International Airport, Representative Bobby Scott traveled to Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport to continue hearing from TSA officers affected by the shutdown. October 31, 2025 Representative Bobby Scott at ORF Norfolk International Airport Representative Bobby Scott met with TSA officers at Norfolk International Airport to hear directly about the challenges federal employees were facing during the government shutdown. Lunch was provided for officers working without pay.
