Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan visited Richmond International Airport on November 10, 2025, to meet with TSA officers during the government shutdown. Against Giants Labor Advocates coordinated the engagement to ensure officers had direct access to their congressional representative.
The visit gave RIC officers the opportunity to speak directly with Congresswoman McClellan about working without pay and the broader impact of the shutdown on their lives and families. McClellan heard firsthand from the workforce about the conditions they were navigating.
Against Giants was proud to coordinate this important engagement. The visit was one of several AG organized across Virginia airports during the FY2026 DHS funding lapse, part of a sustained effort to connect TSA officers with their elected representatives at the checkpoint level.
